Jiarong Lu, Chrissie - is a director, writer and production designer based in Los Angeles and Shanghai. She grew up in China is currently enrolled as a senior film production student at USC. In 2018, she graduated from Fudan University with a degree in TV and Broadcasting. During her undergraduate degree, she has been directing both fiction films and documentaries.

Her interest in film production had brought her a boundless passion for storytelling and a unique eye for discovery. As a filmmaker, her Asian identity, interests her in Chinese and social subjects.

While at USC, she has participated in Global exchange programmed and made a short documentary, Live Free, which won multiple awards both in China and Europe, including, but not limited to, the Best Short Documentary at the China-EU Light Shadow Award. Also, she works as a production designer and has done many short films and thesis projects.

As a filmmaker, she believes that every story is worth telling as long as you have a unique vision to discover the powerful part.
